Meet your coach

Hi, I'm Henry.

I grew up in the borders of Scotland, with a dream of playing international rugby. Yet, around fifteen years old I had to stop playing during to progressive hearing loss. Which happened to be the best thing that happened to me, causing me to fall in love with Olympic Weightlifting.

Over my six years in the sport I have made great friends and been apart of great communities, which has allowed me to push myself to the international stage for Scotland (Senior World Champs, 2025) and Great Britain (European Junior Champs, 2023). This is the type of community I want to create!

Now based in Market Harborough, I am working with TGTHR Fitness and from 2026 I will be opening an Olympic Weightlifting Club and PT business within the gym. Whether you want to compete internationally or build strength to play with your children more, Axon Barbell is about reaching these goals, together.
